Welcome
Welcome to the website for the Washington County Sheriff in West Bend, Wisconsin. The Sheriff’s Office operates the County Jail, attends to the Circuit Court, operates a 911 Dispatch Center and provides law enforcement programs throughout the county. To meet this mission, communication with the public is very important. This website is intended to improve public access to department resources and inform the public on department operations.
Topics such as Agency Programs, Civil Process, Open Records and County Jail provide information citizens need to interact with the department. Good explanations, contact names and information are provided. Other topics such as Communications, Patrol Division and Special Units are designed to be informative so citizens can learn about the resources available in their community.
In the future, our intent is to keep working toward a website that is even more interactive and useful for citizens who have business with the Sheriff’s Office.

Moraine Park Technical College Recognizes Lt. Dave Weske for his work with the Adult Basic Education Program
Moraine Park Technical College held its General Educational Development (GED) and High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) graduation ceremony on June 13, 2013 at its Fond du Lac campus.
As part of the ceremony to recognize the accomplishments of GED/HSED graduates, Lt. Dave Weske of the Washington County Jail was presented with the Friend of Basic Education Award.
The award was presented to Weske for his work in driving adult basic education and career pathway development. Weske began working with the Moraine Park Technical College-West Bend campus to develop and launch a coordinated program through the jail inmates in Washington County and Moraine Park Technical College.
Lt. Weske has served with the Washington County Jail since 1977.
Congratulations Lt. Weske!
