Sheriff Sales
Sheriff Sales are conducted on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. in the lobby of the County Government Center, 432 E. Washington Street, West Bend.
Successful bidders are required to have 10 percent of their bid in cash, money order or certified check at the time of sale. The balance is due at the time of confirmation. Successful bidders are also required to submit the real estate transfer fee by 4 p.m. the day of the sale. The successful bidder is also responsible for all legal liens, encumbrances, and unpaid real estate taxes. All properties are sold "as is" and are not available for viewing.
The bank, lending institution or their attorney will normally put in the first bid. Opening bids will not be given out over the phone. They will only be given in person on the date and time of the scheduled Sheriff's Sale. Anyone else can bid on the property. The property goes to the highest bidder. Sales are subject to cancellation at any time without notice.
Note: After the sale, opening bids and/or final bids will not be given out over the phone since Sheriff Sales are not final until confirmed by the Court. To make certain you are obtaining accurate information, an open records request can be done to the Clerk of Courts Office after the date of confirmation at 262-335-4341.
